Be the leader!

As an equestrian you already know the importance of leadership with your horse. Leadership with horses is important for your safety, safety of the horses, confidence, direction, vision, courage, self awareness, arena awareness etc.

Are you the leader in your relationship with your horse? Does your horse look to you for the right answers? Is your horse respectful of your space? How does your horse respond to your cues? All of these questions give you an example of the leadership needed to have a successful relationship with your horse! At Sells Lake Ranch we train horses to respond to their leaders but more often as the horse goes through the training process it is important that the owner does as well. We are always working on sharpening our tools to better teach horse owners about ways to become more aware and knowledgeable about their horse’s needs. Recently we completed a Mental Performance Mastery program for athletes and look forward to bringing these principles to help you in the arena.
